I'm raising my children right here in Davidson County — my youngest still attends school here and my oldest graduated in the county, and I want them to inherit a county that's run honestly and safely. That's the reason I decided to run.
Like a lot of you, I've watched commissioner meetings this year and walked away with more questions than answers. Why did the county authorize $65 million for a sports complex before the public ever saw firm construction numbers? Why was money set aside for a sewer project quietly redirected instead? Why did commissioners sign an agreement tied to a power plant that some of them say they didn't even know the terms of?
This is a planning problem, plain and simple. Decisions are getting made before the facts are fully on the table — and taxpayers are the ones left holding the bag.

Every decision starts with the citizens who already live here — not a developer, not a company from out of state. If a project doesn't serve them, it doesn't move forward.
Growth can't come at the cost of the water supply, the air we breathe, or public health. Any project with the potential to affect them gets real answers, studied and made public, before it's approved.
Citizens who've built a life here shouldn't watch a new project lower their property values or their quality of life. That impact has to be studied and answered before a project is approved, not after.
Our farmland, rural land, and natural resources are part of what makes this county worth fighting for. Growth decisions have to protect them, not pave over them.
NDAs with private companies should only be signed in the county's name when absolutely necessary — and when one is, the public deserves to know what's in it. No secret deals.
I want lower taxes for Davidson County families. That starts with proving we can manage the money we already collect — full public hearings, full disclosure, and a recorded Board vote before any major spending.
